So this year I decided to combine both of the kids birthday parties into one~ Their birthdays are only a week apart and I didn't want to make my out of town family have to come up 2 weeks in a row. Hailey wanted an Ariel party and Evan didn't care so we went with an Under the Sea party.
Evan's cake was a fish~ and we had all sorts of fish candy and sand buckets, we had "sub" sandwiches, with chips and fruit. The kids had octopus hotdogs with goldfish crackers.
Hailey of course had an Ariel cake-
which was actually fun to decorate.
And she loves the little mermaids.
We decorated with fish and balloons everywhere! The place looked pretty cool :) and the kids loved it! The first words out of Evan's mouth everytime he opened a present was, "OUT!" He wanted to play with each thing before moving onto the next. Hailey finished opening hers a good deal before he was done. He was so excited about Everything that he got.
We had a kiddie pool that we filled with shredded newspaper and "treasures" - the kids had fun digging through it to find them- but the shredded newpaper was their favorite part!
I decorated Hailey's room for her birthday- I finished the mural I had been working on forever and we got her a day bed from a thrift store that we fixed up pretty nice. Then I painted her bookshelf added some butterflies, got a desk from a garage sale that we painted and fixed up, added a mural, butterfly chair, and some other small touches and by the picture you can tell she was pretty happy with it. I even spend alot more time in her room.
One of Evan's favorite presents was a Mater bubble mower!
He loved it and had to text it out right away!
Hailey getting eaten by a shark!
Evan and Ryan's cousin Stephanie!
The next day holding up some presents for me to see.
Evan with his train and Hailey with her Rapunzel purse.
Evan got a chair for his room too - and the two of them love to read books in it!
So cute to watch them get along :)
This was another one of Evan's favorite presents~ it is the Dinosaur train from that PBS show. We have set it up for days now and he just sits and watches it go around and around. We have gone through 3 sets of batteries :) He calls it his "yain"! I love it :)
Look at you go, Miss SuperMom!! I can't believe you have a 4-year-old and how much she looks like you. It's seriously like a mini-Dani. She's gorgeous. You're gorgeous. And I miss you. :)
ReplyDeleteHer room still looks gorgeous and you can tell that she loves it! You did such a good job on her room Dani!
ReplyDeleteWow Dani...Hailey and Evan are some lucky kids - that's a pretty awesome party! Wish we could have been there. Love hailey's room!
