I love July! It is one of my most favorite months- I love the weather, the holidays, (its my birthday month :)) and hanging out with family! On the fourth of July weekend we had quite a few bbq's, the parade, and fireworks! It was really fun to watch my kids see it all! Here is Evan and Ryan at my parents before the fireworks.
I have actually always liked going to the Idaho Falls parade on the 4th- Here we are waiting for all the floats to come by.
We live right by Woodland Hills Elementary School and they have a great playground. It doesn't have any shade, but Hailey loves it. And if Evan could he would have you put him up and down the slide all day.
Another 4th of July Barbeque- with face painting- I think this was another first for Hailey- she was pretty proud of it.
For my birthday this year I waited until Ryan said that I could do whatever I wanted for my birthday, then I told him I wanted to try to take the kids camping! Ryan isn't much of a camper, but it was my birthday... We just went to Heise camground, nice bathrooms, grass around the campsite, and trailer hookups- so it wasn't too bad :) The kids did great- minus Evan waking up a 5 when he couldn't find his pacifier and waking every campground around us up including Hailey - but they both went back to sleep after some work and we slept in a little. Hailey had a blast, everything was a new experience for her and she enjoyed every minute.
We even got the whole family to come along (since they were the ones with the camper) Just kidding- it was really fun having everybody there.
Hailey and I started painting- it is fun to see her enjoy something I love so much! I am going to start a mural in her bedroom- which should be fun.
On the 24th of July my parents had a parade and my dad being in the bishopbric was going to go, so we dressed up Hailey's tricycle, gave her a bonnet and pulled her around with thier ward. She loved it!
One of my favorite things about Idaho Falls is the greenbelt- I love walking around it, all the activities they have down there, and looking at the temple. I think it is beautiful. We took the kids to feed the ducks and they had great time. We found some baby ducks and pretty much fed them the whole time. We had to keep Evan in the stroller the whole time though because he was pretty tough to hold on to he wanted to get ahold of those ducks pretty bad he would have ended up in the water!
You guys have had a fun summer. Our camping experience wasn't quite as positive, but at least it gets better. I'm glad we found your blog! Ours is http://brantandtina.blogspot.com
